Lithuania fans' fury at loss

IRATE Lithuania fans tried to attack their own players after losing to Liechtenstein. Scotland's Euro 2012 Group I opponents played in Vaduz with the central European minnows stunning their Baltic rivals 2-0.

But that produced a furious response from the 100-strong travelling support, some of whom had made a 1,500-mile overland trip with 30 changes of trains.

Lithuania could now sack manager Raimondas Zutaustas. Lithuanian FA president Liutauras Varanavivius said: "There has to be major consequences."
