Latapy is Trinidad's new head coach

RUSSELL Latapy, the former Falkirk and Hibs midfielder, has taken over as player-coach of Trinidad and Tobago on an interim basis, after Colombian Francisco Maturana resigned.

Latapy, still part of the Trinidad squad at the age of 40, said: "I'm absolutely delighted with being given opportunity to be coach of my country's national team. It's something I've always wanted to do."
