Laszlo: Give me the tools and I'll boost Hearts by 70%

CSABA LASZLO has requested new performance-enhancing technology at Riccarton which he believes would improve certain Hearts players by up to 70 per cent.

Despite the team's recent imperious form, Laszlo is keen to optimise performance levels for the remainder of the season.

He was reluctant to give a detailed account of the equipment required but has implored the club to listen to his wishes, claiming that implementing his ideas now would drastically improve a squad that is already functioning efficiently. Five consecutive league victories preceded Hearts' draw at Parkhead last weekend, the club's most convincing results sequence since the 2005-06 season. Laszlo, however, believes a greater return is possible by installing advanced technology he used when coaching in Germany, Hungary and Uganda. "I hope the club now follows what I want, I have a lot of things in my head," he told the Evening News.

"It is not a question of money or big investments or bringing in new players.

"I don't want to tell in great detail what I need at the moment but we can get 50, 60 or maybe even 70 per cent more from the team if we do things quickly.

"The club must listen to me but I am not talking about selling and buying players. For example, they must look to get modern technology to bring the players' individual performances up. I am talking about tests that I need to do, video technique that we must use.

"I used these things in Germany to make individuals better and better, I also used them in Uganda and in Hungary. All these small things can take us to a higher level."

Laszlo stressed that his ambitions should not be viewed as criticism of the playing staff, who he praised for their dedication this season.

"I want to tell everyone that it is not only Christophe Berra, or Bruno Aguiar, or Lee Wallace, or Andrew Driver. We have a lot of positives here," he continued. "Robbie Neilson has come back and given the team something extra. Marius Zaliukas at the moment has very good harmony with Berra.

"The effort from these players is fantastic and we must continue this."

Larry Kingston, meanwhile, has confirmed his desire to play in England following revelations that Hearts will listen to realistic offers for their Ghanaian midfielder.

"England is among the best leagues in the world. Every player wants to play in this league," he said. "I'd be very happy to play in the English Premier League. If the opportunity comes, I'm going to grab it very fast because I want to play there.

"But, at the moment I still have a contract with Hearts, so I'm concentrating on that."
