Kings set to be crowned

Edinburgh Kings cadets have already clinched the Scottish Basketball League title thanks to their win at Highland Bears, but coach Steven Dickson will want to keep the team’s unbeaten record for the season when they face Boroughmuir Blaze at Portobello tomorrow (5pm).

Blaze showed by their performance in the Scottish Under-16 Cup final that they are more than capable of being party-poopers just when Kings hope to be presented with the trophy.

It will be an action-packed day at Portobello with five games, the Kool Kats cadettes, who lost 41-39 to Polonia at Gracemount last night, facing the Rocks at 11am, the juniors at 1pm and Kings junior men also completing a triple-header against Boroughmuir at 7pm.
