Ki goes from team-mate to 'enemy' for Samaras

GREECE striker Georgios Samaras refused to wish his Celtic team-mate Ki Sung-yueng good luck ahead of the World Cup as the pair prepare to face each other in the group stages.

Samaras could come up against young midfielder Ki on 12 June when Greece take on South Korea in the third game of the finals.

Samaras opted out as the striker's Celtic team-mates gave Ki their best wishes at the behest of manager Neil Lennon when he left Parkhead early to prepare for the tournament.

"It was me and Ki standing next to each other in the dressing room and I was like, 'Don't wait for me to give you best wishes or my hand – you are my enemy from now on," Samaras told www.celticfc.net.

"But it's all good fun."
