Kerr races to Home Internationals win

CROSS COUNTRY: Joss Kerr (George Watson’s College) won the Junior boys’ title at the Aviva Schools Cross Country Home Internationals at Strathallan School. While English runners won the three other categories, Joss claimed the under-15 trophy with a time of 1145 mins for the 4,000m course.

Euan Gilham (Gryffe High School) was runner-up to England’s Scott Halstead in the boys’ intermediate class (Under-17) category. In the 6,000m event, Euan missed the title by just 0.09 secs in 17:01 mins.

Gillian Black (Jordanhill High School) was ninth and leading Scot in the junior girls’ 3,000m, while Catriona Graves (Glasgow Academy) was the top home performer in seventh place in the girls’ intermediate.

In the team events, Scotland was second in the junior girls’ and the intermediate boys’ and third in the other two sections.
