Hoffenheim thrash sorry Hamburg to end poor run

VEDAD Ibisevic and Chinedu Obasi each bagged a brace as Hoffenheim ended a seven-game winless run with a thumping 5-1 victory over Europa League semi-finalists Hamburg.

Ibisevic wasted little time getting off the mark, scoring in the second and 11th minutes as the hosts jumped out into an early 2-0 lead. Obasi made it 3-0 after 31 minutes before Robert Tesche trimmed the deficit after 65 minutes. Obasi finished off the game with his second in the 73rd minute before Sejad Salihovic made it five 13 minutes from time.
