Hockey: Youngsters teach second string a lesson

SCOTLAND'S under-21 side gave coach Rhona Simpson a boost by beating a Scotland A outfit 3-1 at Forthbank in a final selection match for the European Nations Championships in Lille at the end of July.

The youngsters took charge right from the start and in only three minutes Rebecca Condie netted a rebound before they went two ahead through Daniele Johnston minutes later. The junior side made it three through Emily Bain, but the A side pulled one back in the second half

when a Susan McGilveray shot was deflected home.
