Hockey: Shepherd will gather flock

Scotland’s head coach Gordon Shepherd will jet to Denmark tomorrow with a full-strength women’s squad for the EuroHockey Indoor Nations Championship II which starts on Friday.

The promotion-chasing Scots face hosts Denmark in their opening game in Slagelse on Friday, followed by France and Switzerland in Pool A. England, Lithuania, Russia and Slovakia are in Pool B. Scotland are desperate to bounce back to the top tier of European hockey after being relegated two years ago.
