Hockey: Menzieshill take advantage

Grove Menzieshill clawed their way to the top of the Subway national indoor league in controversial circumstances.

The Taysiders played two fixtures to Inverleith's one in a programme curtailed when Glynhill Kelburne, Western Wildcats and AMN Hillhead decided to leave Perth in the early afternoon on information that road conditions to Glasgow were dangerous.

The consequence was that the ten-game schedule had to be reduced to only five fixtures, much to Menzieshill's advantage.
