Hockey: Guy burning with ambition

TOP hockey marksman David Guy today warned his CALA Edinburgh team-mates: "The season starts here."

The Meggetland-based side, who won the Division Two title beating struggling Waverley Inveresk Trinity 6-1 at Bangholm on Saturday and also clinch a coveted promotion play-off place, now await the opposition for the one-off game in Edinburgh next month.

The Capital's top striker, who has bagged 36 goals so far this term, said: "We'll be facing a Division One club in the play-off and whoever we face will have played at a higher pace all season and we must step up to that level."
