Hockey: Grange smash Aberdeen

League leaders Grange struggled in the first half to overcome stout resistance from Aberdeen in the Subway National League before rattling home five goals without reply in the second period.

The goals were scored by Craig Harper, Martin Kelly, Cammie Fraser, Ewan Milne and schoolboy Duncan Riddell.

Kelburne began their defence of their title with a nine-goal demolition of Inverleith at Bellahouston, despite missing a number of key players. Gareth Hall scored a hat-trick.

The shock of the day came in Glasgow where AMN Hillhead ran out 3-1 winners over Western Wildcats at Jordanhill School.
