Hockey: Ferrier believes young Watsonians can be key to beating drop
The Tipperlin outfit have propped up the table for weeks, but Ferrier believes he sees green shoots.
And last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat by mid-table Western is, he believes, proof that Watsonians are getting it together.

Above Watsonians are AAM Gordonians with five points, Edinburgh University and Hillhead with seven and Inverleith who have collected 12.
Ferrier’s men square up to inconsistent Inverleith tomorrow, and he added: “We have four winnable games. We’re not playing sides like Kelburne and Grange and we can take real positives from the Western game.”
Elsewhere, Grange play Western, while Edinburgh University head for Aberdeen in a crucial basement battle against Gordonians.
