Hockey: Crunch game at Inverleith

INVERLEITH host Hillhead tonight in a match which has a bearing on relegation in hockey’s Division One.

Hillhead, jousting with CALA Edinburgh to avoid the drop, were left frustrated when their clash with Grange was abandoned due to fog when they were 3-2 up.

CALA Edinburgh earned a valuable point in a 3-3 draw at Edinburgh University. The point makes the students safe in Division One but CALA need to beat Clydesdale at Meggetland on Saturday and wait to see what happens elsewhere.

Division One champions Kelburne beat Inverleith 5-0 at Bellahouston.
