Hearts: Jim Jefferies issues challenge to Kevin Kyle

JIM JEFFERIES is urging Hearts to show their true credentials against Kilmarnock and is hoping Kevin Kyle in particular can prosper on his return to Rugby Park.

Jefferies and his target man were left reeling when their old club ran out 3-0 winners at Tynecastle on Hallowe'en, but the manager is hoping for better fortune when he and Kyle pitch up in Ayrshire. "Kevin keeps in touch with two or three of the Kilmarnock lads and a game like this is always a challenge because of the fact you're up against former team-mates," said the Hearts manager. "They played him very well in the last game but now we've got to show them we are a very different team. We're more settled with players back and are playing with confidence.

"Our away record has been superb this year, only losing at Parkhead, and we are hoping to keep that going on Sunday. However, it will be one of the hardest away games you will get."
