Hearts and Hibs foes Obua and Hogg united in support of poppy charity

HEARTS star David Obua and Hibs skipper Chris Hogg have donated their poppy-embroidered shirts – worn in an Edinburgh derby clash earlier this season – to help raise funds for Lady Haig's Poppy Factory in Warriston and also support the launch of the organisation's new website.

Hogg, who has a brother-in-law serving in Afghanistan, said: "We were extremely proud to wear the poppy on our shirts and it's great they are now being auctioned.

"I'm especially aware of the sacrifices that many servicemen and women have made and continue to make."

While Obua added: "While our rivalry on the field is fierce, it is great to join together with Hibs to support the important work of Poppy Scotland."
