Hall topples the 
top seed at Tenby

BRITISH GIRLS: Georgia Hall, No 6 in the women’s World Amateur Golf Rankings, has lived up to her rating by reaching this morning’s semi-finals of the British girls open amateur championship at Tenby Golf Club. Hall knocked out the No 1 seed and 2009 title winner, Perrine Delacour from Paris, 2 and 1 then outclassed Germany’s Karolin Lampert 5 and 3 in the quarter-finals.

Hall plays another German in the semi-finals – 17-year-old Quirine Eijkenboom. The other semi-final features German-born 16-year-old Olivia Cowan, whose parents are Englis, against 17-year-old Clara Baena (Spain).
