Greig Hutcheon's play-off joy

Greig Hutcheon capped a triumphant season by winning the Srixon PGA Play-Offs at Little Aston last night.

The 37-year-old Aberdonian, who won this year's Tartan Tour order of merit, pipped James Harris and Richard O'Hanlon at the third extra-hole after the leading trio had tied at the top on seven-under 137s.

Hutcheon, who had already secured starts in the BMW PGA Championship and the Barclays Scottish Open as the winner of the domestic rankings, bolstered his 2011 schedule by picking up invitations to the Celtic Manor Wales Open and three Challenge Tour events.

The Northern Open champion, two shots off the pace at the start of the final round, fired a three-under 69 and landed the 2000 top prize in a play-off when he rolled in a birdie putt of 15 feet at the first hole.
