Scottish Ladies Open Tour: £3,000 added to prize pot

£8,250 is on offer at the new circuit’s double-header at Trump Links International and Deeside next month.

It follows Saltire Energy, a Scottish-based oil-related company that sponsors Paul Lawrie, adding just over £3,000 to the pot for the 18-hole events on 6 and 7 May.

“The perseverance in getting the lady pro tour idea off the drawing board and on to the golf calendar has paid off and Saltire Energy are certainly be delighted to be involved,” said chief executive Mike Loggie.

“Apart from the Paul Lawrie Tour, Saltire Energy will this year be sponsoring Laura Murray, who turned professional recently, and we will continue to sponsor Paul, his Foundation and his Golf Centre plus Greig Hutcheon and Ross Cameron.”

The new circuit, open to any lady professional and to lady or girl amateurs with single-figure handicaps, tees off at Dalmahoy later this month.
