Robert MacIntyre surges to youths title victory

Oban teenager Robert MacIntyre produced the round of the championship – a three-under-par 67 – to achieve a come-from-behind victory surge to win the Golf Data Lab Scottish youths golf title at Lanark yesterday.

MacIntyre showed his class with a four-over-par total of 284, made up of rounds of 72, 73, 72 and 67. He had six birdies in his final round to win by three from Charlie MacNeal (Prestwick). Scots boys filled three of the first four places with Ewen Bearsden in fourth.
