CHILE’S Mark Tullo hit a four-under-par round of 68 to wrest the lead from Craig Lee on the penultimate day of the Madeira Islands Open.

Scot Lee remained ahead of the chasing pack midway through day three after carding three birdies and two bogeys on his way out to stay one shot clear of Tullo and American Peter Uihlein.

But Lee had little joy on his way back to the clubhouse, making par everywhere except on the 11th hole where he made his last birdie.

Tullo, meanwhile, carded four birdies and just one bogey on the back nine, while Uihlein earned a share of second place with Lee by carding three birdies and bogey after the turn.
