Golf: Duncan Stewart fourth after 70 in Casablanca

Grantown-on-Spey’s Duncan Stewart finished a creditable fourth behind Welshman Stephen Dodd in the Royal D’Anfa Open in Casablanca.

The Highlander, who is preparing for the start of the Challenge Tour season after earning a step up from the EuroPro Tour last year, closed with a two-under-par 70 for a three-under aggregate of 213.

He finished three shots behind Dodd, who beat English duo Zane Scotland and Ian Keenan in a play-off to claim the top prize.

Dodd, a two-times European Tour winner, holed a ten-foot birdie putt at the first extra hole to claim revenge on Scotland after being pipped by him in last week’s event.

Clarke Lutton closed with a 73 for a total of 223, 11 shots better than Greg Nicolson after he signed for a 78.
