Gemma Dryburgh, one of Scotland’s top women professionals, is helping to raise funds for the NHS Charities Covid-19 Appeal through an online auction.

The Aberdonian is offering a round for three at Beaconsfield, her home club in Buckinghamshire, as a lot in the auction being run by Halcyon Golf Travel.

“It’s an honour to be able to take part in this auction and I couldn’t think of a better cause for the money to go to,” said Dryburgh, who plays on both the LPGA and Ladies European Tour. “Hopefully I can pass on some tips and advice to whoever ends up winning the bid to play with me.

“But it is also fantastic to see all of the generous auction lots that are up for grabs from some of the best courses up and down the country. Thank you to everyone on the front lines who are fighting against this awful virus. Hopefully through golf we can do our bit to help in some way.”

Other lots include rounds for four at Archerfield Links, Western Gailes, Dunbar, Gullane, Ladybank, Craigielaw and Crail, as well as golf and an overnight stay for four at Carnoustie and a luxury golf package at The Machrie Hotel and Golf Links on Islay.

“The auction is live until 8pm on Tuesday and there are some amazing offers, especially for courses in Scotland,” added Dryburgh, who sits fifth on this season’s LET Order of Merit after a strong start to the campaign in Australia before golf went into lockdown.
