Fourth place for Matthew as Park enjoys a stroll

catriona Matthew of Scotland shot a second-round 68 at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship to finish the day in fourth place.

Inbee Park held a two-shot lead ahead of the final round of thanks to another stellar performance.

Park carded a tournament-record seven-under-par 65 on the first day and set a new one in the second round, a shot lower, leaving her on 18 under for the tournament.

She signed for two eagles and five birdies, with one bogey being the down point.

Suzann Pettersen, chasing back-to-back wins after her KEB-HanaBank victory last weekend, was two shots behind, with Yani Tseng the next in contention at 14 under.

Park said: “I hit the ball great and putted really good. he conditions of the golf course were perfect.”

Matthew, who lost to Pettersen in a play-off in in South Korea last weekend, was at 12 under after following up her 66 on Friday with another solid round.
