The 27-year-old became the second home winner in the history of the tournament as she recorded a score of 71 in the final round to finish ten under par in Amsterdam.

Boeljon, who moved three shots clear of the field after Saturday’s second round, led from start to finish to triumph at The International.

Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen and Ursula Wikstrom of Finland finished joint second on six under following rounds of 70, while England duo Rebecca Hudson and 2013 winner Holly Clyburn finished in a three-way tie for seventh alongside Swede Lynn Carlsson.

Boeljon said: “This is a big one. To be able to do it, leading from the start in front of a home crowd in my home country means a lot and it’s something that I will never forget.

“I did not look at the leaderboards until 17, when I realised where I stood and that gave me a good feeling.

“I hit a lot of fairways, a lot of greens, it was pretty solid when I needed it so to be able to rely on a good short game and have my putter behave, was great.”

South Africa’s Stacy Lee Bregman recorded a final round 73 to finish five under par and in a tie for fourth alongside Christine Wolf of Austria and Frenchwoman Lucie Andre.

England’s 2011 winner Melissa Reid rounded off the top ten one shot behind her compatriots on three under with a 70 in the Netherlands.
