TALENTED teenagers Anthony Blaney and Calum Hill have earned spots in the Lothians six-man side for this month’s Scottish Area Team Championship at Crail.

Both will be bidding to become double Area Team champions after already tasting success in the boys’ equivalent over the last three years.

Liberton lad Blaney and Tantallon kid Hill will join forces with Allyn Dick (Kingsknowe), Neil Henderson (The Renaissance Club), Benn McLeod (Musselburgh) and Graham Robertson (Silverknowes).

They were all picked after a series of winter get-togethers, winter league matches, trials and friendlies while a mini-Order of Merit was also taken into account by the selectors.

Craigielaw’s Grant Forrest, the Scottish amateur champion, and the country’s top-ranked player, is unavailable for the event in Fife on May 18-19, as is Royal Burgess star James Ross.
