Golf: Steven Dand sits top in order of merit after strong show at The Glen

PUMPHERSTON’S Steven Dand has leapt to the top of the handicap order of merit in the Edinburgh & East of Scotland Alliance.

It follows his second-placed finish in the latest event at The Glen, which moved Dand on to the 118-point mark.

He has a slender lead over Falkirk Tryst’s Daniel Airens (112.5) with Glencorse’s Sean McGarvey, in third place, also still in contention on 103.
