Golf: Smith sizzles in Brabazon

DALMAHOY'S Steven Smith produced a stunning performance to win the Brabazon Trophy north qualifier in Yorkshire.

The Lothians Championship runner-up shot a 66 at Pannal, where James Ross of Royal Burgess was also among the qualifiers with a 69.

The duo have earned places in the Brabazon Trophy field at Burnham & Berrow in Somerset on June 23-26.
