Golf: Johnston’s 67 is champion

LONGNIDDRY’S Fraser Johnston is the new Lothians Boys Champion of Champions after winning the Caermount-sponsored tournament at Ravelston.

He shot a 67 at the centenary-celebrating Capital club to win by two shots from Rob Paterson (Kilspindie) and Gordon  Cowan (West Lothian).

Ryan O’Connor (Uphall) was a shot further back on 69, one less than the host club’s representative, Stewart McLaren.

O’Connor took the top handicap prize with a 66, closely  followed by Broomieknowe’s Matthew Stewart on 67.
