Golf: Foundation in full swing
THE Stephen Gallacher Foundation swung into action when Kingsfield Golf Centre on the outskirts of Linlithgow staged a successful first event.
The European Tour player was on the first tee to set a total of 39 youngsters on their way in the flag event, after which they all received a lesson from either Jane Connachan or David Burns. Stephen’s son, Jack, completed nine holes in 33 shots, while all the leading prize-winners reached the eighth hole with their 36th and final shot.
The next event is on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm with a £3 entry fee. Entry forms can be obtained from Swanston Golf Club or by e-mail to [email protected] or phone 07786540614. Players can also turn up on the day.
