Golf: Alliance event in the balance

A STRONG field is scheduled to do battle at Gullane tomorrow in the Edinburgh & East of Scotland Alliance Championships.

Alliance secretary Alan Greenshields is keeping an eye on the weather and is set to review the situation later today.

If he decides to press on as scheduled, Andrew Oldcorn (Kings Acre) and Willie Laing (Prestonfield) will be defending the scratch and handicap titles respectively.
