Glynn not part of Penicuik

FORMER Bonnyrigg Rose boss Pat Glynn says he's glad to help out Craig Meikle and Brian Ryrie at Penicuik – but is not part of the new management team at the Premier Division club.

"There seems to have been a bit of a mis-understanding," said Glynn, who was sacked by Tranent earlier in the season.

"I was asked by Craig, who played for me at Bonnyrigg, that, if him and Brian needed help, would I be able to do that.

"I said I would be happy to watch games for them but that I wasn't interested in going to training, picking teams or being in the dressing-room.

"I will help Craig and Brian if and when I am asked but I am not part of the new management team at Penicuik."

Glynn, who was at Easter Road last weekend to watch Irvine Meadow take on Hibs, added: "Craig has said he'd like to pick my brains about players.

"But, when I started out in management 20 years ago, I said the same thing yet, in the end, you do your own thing. I'm sure that Craig will probably do the same thing."
