Glenn Gibbons: Fifa requires a wrecking ball

The former MP, David Mellor, is unlikely to have been anyone's idea of a football visionary, but he must have garnered a new respect with his assertion on Panorama this week that the most efficacious antidote to Fifa's ills is a wrecking ball.

The resultant, total demolition would be followed by reconstruction, the resurrected world governing body presumably blessed with the innocence of a new-born baby.
