Gleneagles set for National Academy

COLIN Montgomerie last night welcomed the decision to make Gleneagles the home of the PGA's National Academy for Scotland.

The Perthshire resort, which will host the 2014 Ryder Cup, boasts three championship courses while its nine-hole 'Wee Course' and existing golf academy are both set for major investment as part of the drive to make Gleneagles a key centre for coaching and player development.
