Glasgow 2014: Netball finals moved to Hydro

AN extra 4,000 tickets for the Commonwealth Games netball finals are to go on sale tomorrow, after the events were moved from the SECC to the brand-new Hydro arena.

The bronze and gold medal matches on Sunday August 3 have been shifted to the newly-opened arena, doubling the spectator capacity.

Netball Scotland chief executive Maggie Murray said: “We’re delighted that the SSE Hydro will play host to the Netball finals, allowing thousands more fans the opportunity to be part of a truly world-class experience of netball right here in Scotland.

“The wonderful showcase will without doubt play an important part in inspiring sportswomen of the future and encouraging fans of all ages to get actively involved in playing and supporting our fantastic sport.”

Tickets are still available for a number of other sports, including badminton, boxing, squash and weightlifting, and there is limited availability for both the opening and closing ceremonies.

The tickets, priced from £15 to £50, will go on sale from 11am tomorrow at tickets.glasgow2014.com
