French Open: Jamie Murray out

JAMIE Murray failed in his bid to reach a third grand slam final as he and partner Nadia Petrova were beaten 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (7/5) in the semi-finals of the mixed doubles by top seeds Katarina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjic.

Murray and Petrova fought back from a break down to take the first set to a tie-break and took an early lead in the second but could not hold on.

Murray won the mixed doubles title at Wimbledon in 2007 with Jelena Jankovic and reached the final at the US Open with Liezel Huber in 2008.
