Coyle refuses to get carried away with his bright start

WIGAN manager Owen Coyle was not getting carried away by his team’s 4-0 win at Barnsley on the opening day of the Sky Bet Championship season.

Barnsley boss David Flitcroft felt his team were outclassed and although Coyle acknowledged the quality of Wigan’s performance, he was remaining cautious.

The Scot explained: “It’s one game and there are 45 to come – and we’re certainly not getting carried away in terms of what it means. It means three points.”
