Title is still in our hands, says Celtic coach Ronny Deila

Ronny Deila expressed satisfaction with last night's goalless draw with Dundee despite conceding the dropped points offer Aberdeen hope.

The Celtic manager is content the title remains in his side’s hands, just as hopes of a top-six finish are still in Dundee’s.

Celtic are now five points ahead of Aberdeen with six games left. They play Motherwell at Fir Park next.

“The key to the door is still in our hands, of course,” said Deila, whose side were jeered by some Celtic fans after the stalemate.

“Everything is up to ourselves, we just have to keep getting results and having good performances,” added Deila. “It’s always disappointing when you lose two points, but there are a lot of games left and we just have to keep going.

Of the boos, he said: “Football is about emotions and when you don’t get the victory you get irritated and sad like everyone else. So that’s something I understand.”

Dundee manager Paul Hartley hailed his side, who know three points at Hamilton Accies on Saturday will secure a top-six finish. “It’s a great point and it’s all to play for on Saturday,” he said. “Our organisation, work-rate and team spirit were tremendous.”
