The 25-year-old was making his debut for the national side in Scotland’s friendly match against the Netherlands.

Starting at right-back, Jack’s every touch was booed in the opening 15 minutes. It was a minority of home fans indulging in the act, but still enough that it was noticeable on the live Sky Sports broadcast.

Other fans, perhaps in protest, began clapping Jack’s every touch as the game went on, before interest in the Rangers player died down altogether.

Jack left Aberdeen this past summer to sign for rivals Rangers, a decision which rankled with the Pittodrie support.
