Nicky Clark, Nicky Law and David Templeton will all leave Rangers this summer when their contracts expire.

Ibrox boss Mark Warburton is looking to build a squad capable of challenging for the Ladbrokes Premiership title and he has deemed the three players surplus to requirements.

Templeton joined the club four years ago in a £700,000 deal from Hearts. The winger often struggled with injuries, never reaching 30 appearances in a single season and he missed all but three games this past campaign.

Clark joined after netting 41 goals in Queen of the South’s 2012/13 League One title-winning campaign, but he never properly established himself as a regular at Ibrox. His final act as a Rangers player was to conceded a throw-in at the halfway line in the Scottish Cup final, from which Hibs launched the counter-attack that won them the corner from which they netted the winning goal.

Law signed after leaving Motherwell, where he was named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year at the conclusion of the 2012/13 season.

After initially impresses at Ibrox his form dropped off and he was a bit-part player for Warburton this past season.

Meanwhile, Joey Barton looks set to seal his switch to Rangers. The midfielder said his goodbyes to former club Burnley on social media, saying he had to take a new challenge presented to him. It was reported in today’s edition of The Guardian that Barton has verbally agreed a deal to move to Ibrox.
