Rangers have agreed a fee with Nottingham Forest for defender Joe Worrall, according to the Daily Record.
The 21-year-old will now undergo a medical ahead of a season-long loan move to Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Rangers manager has been in the market for a new centre-back with Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic his only experienced options.
He recently described Worrall as “fantastic” and personally contacted Forest boss Aitor Karanka to give him assurances over the player.
Worrall has featured 56 times for the English Championship side but has recently dropped down the pecking order.
