Rangers chairman Dave King has flown back to South Africa after attending an emergency board meeting.
The Ibrox chief met with directors Stewart Robertson, Andrew Dickson and Graeme Park, according to the Scottish Sun, to discuss the future of manager Pedro Caixinha.
King refused to comment when leaving Ibrox, leaving Caixinha to sweat about his future.
The Portuguese head coach is under immense pressure following Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock in the Ladbrokes Premiership.
The disappointing result and performance came three days after Rangers were unceremoniously dumped out of the Betfred Cup by Motherwell.
