CHARLES Green has hinted at a possible return to Ibrox, suggesting that he could come back as Mike Ashley’s Boardroom representitive.
Former chief executive Green, who was ousted from Ibrox in 2013, reiterated that businessman Ashley is entitled to two directors in the Rangers boardroom and suggested that he himself could be one.
Green told the Sun: “I’m happy to go back and represent Ashley, I can imagine that being fun.”
The Yorkshireman also said in the interview that Mike Ashley is still the man keeping Rangers alive and that it was the Newcastle owner and not Dave King, who holds the true power at Ibrox. He said: “Mike Ashley hasn’t gone away, the reality is that today Rangers are making a cup of coffee using Ashley’s money.”
