Peterhead manager Jim McInally will cast his eye over a number of trialists this weekend, including the son of one of the stars from Happy Days.
Midfielder Lucius Cary’s mum Linda Purl played Ashley, who was the steady girlfriend of Henry Winkler’s ‘Fonz’ character in the American TV series.
Cary, 20, came through the US college system and lower league football in Spain and was recommended to McInally by East Stirlingshire’s former owner Spencer Fearn. Peterhead face neighbours Fraserburgh at Bellslea Park this afternoon.
McInally said: “Spencer and I have kept in touch over the years and he reckons that Lucius can play in senior Scottish football. He has trained with us and the next stage is to have a look at him in games.”
