HEARTS have told Cowdenbeath that they will recall their 19-year-old winger Jordan Morton when his loan arrangement with the Second Division leaders runs out early next month.

The Fifers had hoped to extend the deal to the end of the season but the troubled SPL outfit want him back at Tynecastle. Cowden secretary Alex Anderson said: “We are very grateful to have had Jordan on loan and we fully respect Hearts’ situation.”

Morton, who has been a major success at Central Park and is joint top scorer in the league with five goals, will be able to play two more games – against Stenhousemuir on Boxing Day and East Fife on 2 January.
