HEARTS have today confirmed that assistant manager Billy Brown has had his contract extended.

Billy Brown, 63, who has been at the club since the middle of last year, has now had his temporary contract extended until the end of March.

His current deal was due to run out at the end of February.

He will now be able to continue his work with Hearts manager Gary Locke for the next five matches.

This week, chairwoman designate Anne Budge send an opening letter to fans in which she announced her plans to secure the long term future of the club.

She pledged to achieve fan ownership in two years time with the club also hoping to be out of administration by April.

The team has shown a renewed confidence in recent matches following a four game unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership which is their best form this season.

They’ll hope to extend this run when they play Celtic tomorrow at Tynecastle, which kicks off at 12.45pm.
