Hearts defender John Souttar is set to win a full Scotland call-up tomorrow.
The centre-back appeared to have been overlooked for next month’s matches with Belgium and Albania when he was included in Scot Gemmill’s under-21 squad to face Andorra and the Netherlands.
However, reports today suggest Scotland boss Alex McLeish will now include Souttar in his squad in place of Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Souttar, 21, was called up for May’s friendly matches in Peru and Mexico but was forced to pull out due to injury.
Scotland take on World Cup semi-finalists Belgium in a friendly at Hampden on Friday, September 7 before beginning their UEFA Nations League campaign at home to the Albanians three days later.
