Gordon Smith goes to Raith Rovers

FORMER Hearts striker
Gordon Smith has been given the chance to rekindle his
career at Raith Rovers.

The 22-year-old, who spent four years at Tynecastle before being released at the end of last season, signed a one-year deal with Grant Murray’s First Division side yesterday.

Having been able to show only glimpses of his potential during a stop-start period in Gorgie, Smith could find himself partnering another former Hearts player in attack, with Calum Elliot having moved to Stark’s Park earlier this month.

The two ex-Hearts strikers are part of an eye-catching summer transfer splurge from ex-Jambo Murray, who has also recruited Livingston captain Liam Fox and Hibs left-back Callum Booth
