Celtic have made tentative enquiries into the availability of Stoke City defender Moritz Bauer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Swiss-born Austrian international was a January signing by the Potters and handed a new five-year deal in January.
However, following Stoke’s relegation to the second tier, Celtic are wondering whether they can tempt the 26-year-old to move north.
Bauer operates largely at right-back and can count Rubin Kazan and Grasshoppers among his former clubs.
Brendan Rodgers has called on the Celtic hierarchy to significantly strengthen the squad before the end of the transfer window.
