INTERNAZIONALE face a selection headache as they gear up for their Europa League clash with Celtic.
The Serie A giants have signed Lukas Podolski from Arsenal and Bayern Munich’s Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri - but only one is eligible to play in the competition for the Milanese outfit due to UEFA rules.
Podolski scored three goals in five matches for Arsene Wenger’s side in the Champions League while Shaqiri has made a handful of substitute appearances for Bayern, scoring in the 7-1 crushing of AS Roma in October.
UEFA’s competition rules state that teams may add up to three new players to their European squad ahead of the first knockout stage, but only one can have played in the Champions League already.
Celtic are widely expected to add on-loan Manchester City striker John Guidetti to their squad, after an administrative hitch delayed his registration when finalising his loan move in September.
